America’s Wakeup Call

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Originally  broadcast on the “Return to Eden” radio program, March 14, 2009.

A wakeup call is for those who are asleep.  Today, we have people who think they’re awake, but they’re asleep, people who don’t want to know… and close their mind to reality.

If you haven’t awakened to the fact that the game of destroying America’s wealth is now in full force, STAY ASLEEP.  You evidently don’t know that there are false prophets wearing sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  All you need to do is look at the U.S. stock market, now less than 50% of where it was a year ago.  America’s strength is being destroyed purposefully, so that we will be a nation dependent upon the government.  This is what happens when people don’t wake up to reality.

People who put their retirement in the hands of those who control the markets and the politics are now appearing like plucked chickens waiting to be gutted.  This cannot happen to a people that believe in the heritage of the United States.  The great White House “wizard” got us here in a mere seven weeks.  Of course, we were half-way there when he was elected.  Now we’re at the gates of hell, and yet there is still a majority believing in the “messiah.”

Recently, some atheists suggested that we delete “In God We Trust” from our paper money and our coin.  I want to congratulate them.  I’m confident that this idea finds favor with the Lord.  Deleting “Under God” from the pledge is also proposed by those who consider themselves atheists.  I want to congratulate them on BOTH counts for being truthful, for if “In God We Trust” and “One Nation Under God” are supposed to represent what we have today, I’m on their side!  It is because of our acquiescence to these things that we are now experiencing this economic tsunami, and nothing that is proposed will end the shipwreck.

In the event we want to bring improvement in the present situation, we have to start doing what is right.  We have to restore the foundation on which this nation was founded, and stop treating symptoms, which will never solve the problem.  First off, we have to agree on what is causing this train wreck.  Then we have to unite in fixing it… UNDER GOD… since there is only ONE CORRECT WAY to solve problems.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill, “You can trust the Americans to do the right thing, once they have exhausted all other means.”  Fixing the credit system is not going to do it.  We should take some direction from what is taking place in Europe, where they are finally realizing that in order to set things straight, they have to go back to the land.  When we get back in touch with the land — THE SOIL — we get back in touch with God.

No matter what you think, there is NO OTHER WAY.  Only those who are asleep, and blind, will be unable to contribute to the solution.  As the rabbi said, “One man on God’s side is a majority.”  So, you don’t have to invite anybody else, you must merely decide that you want to join that majority… and if you don’t, YOU LOSE.    ~ Ed De Boer

Here is an economy-themed poem:

By Ed De Boer

To see it go up is a fascinating sight,
for it appears that things are going right,
But as they say, what goes up must come down.
That’s when a smile turns into a frown.

Whenever we see this wild fluctuation,
It raises the level of our consternation.
We wonder who or what is behind this falling and rising…
The truth of it to us would be quite surprising.

When studying nature, we simply don’t find
And never see anything of this kind.
No, it seems to occur at regular interval.
We seem to be losing and not gaining at all.

We work and we save and we do our best,
To sustain is when, from working, we rest.
To learn when we retire that our nest eggs are gone
And find ourselves old, feeble, broke and alone.

We should never put our faith in money or men,
For our trust and faith in God should have been.
For here we are now, facing our fate.
Too old to work, and wise too late.

The Heart of America

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

The other day I received a little booklet in the mail which contained a very interesting article about Jiang Zemin, President of China from 1993 to 2003, who said that he was tempted to declare Christianity the official religion of China! What caused Jiang to make such a statement?

Chinese scholars spent 20 years trying to discover why America is both the most powerful and prosperous nation on Earth. After considerable study, they realized that the answer was not America’s armies and weaponry, but its political system. They also realized that the heart of America’s culture is her religion: Christianity. Frenchman Alexis De Tocqueville saw that in the 1830s, and it occupied much of his writings.

A Christian moral foundation of social and cultural life made possible the emergence of free enterprise capitalism and the transition to a democratic republic. Our present political leaders have lost sight of that and are perverting this One Nation Under God by worshipping a socialistic god and ignoring democracy.

To them I say, I care not in what you believe. That is strictly your business. I do care, however, that you would foist upon me your system of ignorance and make me suffer the consequences of your folly and which collide with my values, beliefs and convictions.

As for me, I shall never force my values, beliefs or way of life upon you, nor deny you the opportunity to enjoy the blessed rewards that result from adhering to these values. It is my hope that someday you may choose to accept the values and beliefs that are so dear to those who love the Giver and Provider of all good things, for only then can we be “One Nation Under God.” ~ Ed De Boer

For Freedom’s Sake

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

As a native of the Netherlands, I owe a huge debt to the Canadian soldiers who liberated my country from the Nazis, so there is a tender spot in my heart for all the Allied troops who are buried abroad and at sea. These were young men who went to war and didn’t expect to die… they expected to come back, every last one of them. And since they didn’t, I’m indebted to them, and for as long as I live I’ll pay homage to them to show that they didn’t die in vain. All Americans must remember their sacrifice. I have written a poem in their voice… in their honor:

For Freedom’s Sake
By Ed De Boer

We are the voices who fought, bled and died,
So that freedom for mankind would not be denied.
Is peace so sweet, and for you is life so dear
That voices of dead heroes you cannot hear?

We are your past, we bought your future life.
We wrote it in blood and died in the strife.
You gave up on freedom. How could you forget
It was our blood that turned beaches red?

We left our footprint the world around.
The crosses and stars marking the ground,
And now you can view all those graves,
Many of us rest under all oceans’ waves.
It was for those we thought wouldn’t forget
That our blood turned those waters red.
We colored crimson the fields and streams.
If you forget, we’ll haunt your dreams.

In Memorial and Veterans Day celebration,
You remember the price we paid for this nation.
But on Election Day you seemed to forget
That it was for you we fought, died and bled.

Did we bleed and die for what you have now?
“Leaders” steal your lunch and milk your cow?
Do you really think all we fought for is this?
The nightmare they sold you as socialist bliss?

Our voices are calling you from where we rest
And telling you that America still is the best.
Americans, stand up, get rid of this liberal mess.
We did it ourselves, you can do no less.

Wake up, America, remember all these men
Who wrote “Freedom” in their life’s blood then.
America, in our mind you are standing accused,
For in your choice our sacrifice you abused.

It may be that you don’t know or don’t care,
But we did not fight and die for this nightmare.
Is this the reason we suffered so much pain?
Is all that we fought and died for to be in vain?

Our lives we laid down for freedom’s sake.
What you do to Liberty we simply can’t take.
For we will not let the Star Spangled Banner wave
O’er a house full of libs and a land full of slaves.

These crosses and stars that mark our resting place
Testify that we did it to free the human race.
We call on you to remember and never forget
It was your liberty for which we died and bled.

Promise that you’ll honor the Red, White and Blue,
And teach your children that’s what they should do,
So once more we can rest again in peace, and be sure
That “this nation under God” shall forever endure.

What is Health Care?

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

It is time we started to take a serious look at what the government calls “universal health care.”  It would seem to me that, if the cost keeps increasing and the incidence of disease keeps increasing, something must be wrong somewhere.  Today, the incidence of per capita prescriptions is constantly rising, as well as the costs, and consequently the side effects of all these prescriptions.

For many years, the philosophy of naturopaths trying to arrive at health from a natural point of view has been ridiculed and called bogus science, but in the meantime, the incidence of disease has continued to climb (along with the cost).  And now we’re learning that natural medicines are achieving the very thing that Big Pharma and the medical profession have been striving for.

There is a basic issue that should be studied, and once we do that, we will come to the conclusion that all our problems and illnesses are due to a perceived system that is void of natural law.  Now, we can choose to continue to travel this road, which I am confident will lead to human destruction.  Or we can decide to choose Mother Nature as the “original provider” of human health.  My prediction is that the more we switch over to a natural system (and I mean a natural means of growing our crops and all our food), the more we’ll see a reduction in the incidence of disease and consequently a reduction in the cost for all disease.

There is one thing that holds true, that humans by nature are averse to the Truth… averse to nature… and adverse to God.  They are truly created in God’s image, meaning they are the exact opposite of their Creator.  As proof, I would quote from the seventh chapter of Matthew: “What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?  Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”  In other words, if you don’t ask, you cannot receive.  If you don’t seek, you cannot find, if you don’t knock, the door will not be opened.

It also says in the Bible, do not cast your pearls before swine, “lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”  This invokes an image: when you tell the truth about our government, they trample it with their feet and turn again and rend you.  This is judging by America’s media, which is a total misnomer.  In truth, the media it is the propaganda arm of socialism, which has been carefully groomed and tailored for decades in order to mislead the American people.  No party can testify to that like the John Birch Society, which made a lot of noise in the early- to mid-1960s… but since then were totally frozen out of the media, which is the policy suggested by Saul Alinsky, a communist agitator.  It is more than evident that the socialist party in this country (i.e. the Democrats) is following his directions to a tee.

When I became a member of the Republican Central Committee in 1964, I warned against this trend, and it was totally dismissed.  In 1986, Jesse Helms, Senator from North Carolina, suggested that the Republican Party buy a controlling interest in one of the three major TV networks… that’s exactly what had I suggested 22 years earlier.  Senator Helms was a day late and a dollar short.

And now the Republicans are dreaming of retaking Congress in 2010.  I predict this is not going to happen.  If we want to recapture the American dream — the free enterprise system and individual liberty enjoyed by generations since passed from the scene — blood will have to flow.  We’re long past the point where it can be recaptured through political activity, but it will be worth every sacrifice required to recapture it and retain it.

The most effective way of recapturing all that is lost is to become independent thinking individuals, putting your faith in God, in His creation and in His economic system, which is a cash economy based on healthy soils to ensure our mental and physical health.   ~ Ed De Boer

Pack of Lies

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

A recent report claims there is no difference between organically grown fruits and vegetables and those grown conventionally.  Well, you can add that to the pack of lies we’ve been told over the last 30-40 years on a regular basis.

I have experience in growing both organic and conventional crops.  When I grow organic, which is all I do now, there is no need for pesticides, and there is no use of chemicals.  It is a strictly natural system of recycling, and the produce from an organic operation has far superior keeping quality to conventionally raised fruits and vegetables.  That’s because the mineral content in organic foods is much higher than in conventionally grown food, and that holds true for anything and everything organic versus conventional.

Organically grown vegetables and fruit are healthy, and consequently have a far superior keeping quality.  Nutritionally they are far superior to conventional, and the insects prove that.  Insects will feed on conventionally grown crops that demand the application of pesticides or insecticides.  They will not feed on organic crops because they cannot metabolize healthy crops.  If they insist, they’ll get gas, and they cannot expel gas, so they will terminate themselves.

That is built in to the natural system… and any time we depart from the natural system, there are consequences.  The further we depart from the natural system, the greater the consequences, which has caused a ten-fold increase in the application of insecticides over the last 50 years.

Reports like the one that recently came out are issued by government offices or quasi-government offices, and so we ought to take a look at what we have allowed our government to do over the last half-century.  During that period, the family farm has virtually become extinct.  The family farm was the greatest educational system ever devised by man… until the government became involved.

Consequently, we have destroyed our soils to where they are incapable of producing food fit for human consumption.  That is why the insects are feeding on our crops… because sick and inferior crops are a natural food for the insect, as we pointed out… a healthy organic crop will make it unnecessary to use pesticides.

In a June 23 report on his website,, Dr. Joseph Mercola reported on how the government works with pharmaceutical companies to suppress natural health remedies.  Mercola wrote, “The FDA is clearly censoring your right to know about, and purchase, foods and supplements that can help you stay healthy and prevent disease.  At the same time, they are allowing dangerous drugs and consumer products to remain on the market and be sold and aggressively advertised as safe.”

Other consequences of an over-burdening government are the destruction of the U.S. dollar, the destruction of our economy, the destruction of our educational system and the destruction of the Christian church.  If this were not so, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in… it’s that simple.

Now the government wants to complete the disaster by legislating what they call “health care.”  Having created food with inferior nutritional quality has raised havoc with the overall national health, and at the present time, our supposed health care system — actually illness care — demands one sixth of our GDP.  National “Health Care” will be the final blow to this nation once worshiped by the rest of the world, and which is now becoming a poor imitation of the Soviet republics.

And why did this happen?  The only reason it could happen is that the people didn’t care.  For a half century, they were too wrapped up in their own little lives, and consequently this nation has gone from an agrarian society to an industrial and post-industrial society.  We believe in self-service, but what we have achieved is a service economy, the very opposite of what we set out to do.

It was the American farmer who was the best soldier, the best artillery man, the best pilot and the best statesman.  Once their farms were destroyed due to government policy, we were stuck with a government-run economy that will, as I said before, result in achieving a Soviet communist republic.  It was by our choice, by our vote, that this came about.  But if, for 40 years or more, we have brainwashed our children in a socialist dominated educational system, we could expect no less than what we have today.

The one and only way to get out of this swamp of government control is to start a garden and grow organic, and buy direct from the farmer.  We must eliminate the middle man, the processors, the corporations, and go back to what Abraham Lincoln suggested, and I quote: “The greatest fine art of the future will be the making of a comfortable living on a small piece of land.”

What sense does it make to gather millions of dollars, only to have the government destroy the purchasing power of that dollar?

Things don’t happen by accident.  Man has not been tuned in to the Truth, and after all, God and Truth are the same, for, as Cincinnatus said, “Truth comes only from God, the Possessor of our days, the Guardian of our nights, the Light of our spirit, the Giver of our breath and the ultimate Receiver of our souls.”

John Adams chimed in as well when he said, “The proposition that the people are the best keepers of their own liberties is not true.  They are the worst conceivable, they are no keepers at all; they can neither judge, act, think, or will, as a political body.”

I think we need to reacquaint ourselves with the wisdom of our founders.  The greatest curse that can befall a nation has befallen America.  There is no leader… we do not recognize leadership.

We should all do as our Founders did: recognize the Creator, live as free citizens… and start a garden.   ~ Ed De Boer

What Is, and What Should Be

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Freedom is a commodity that 99.999% of people do not understand, and those who do understand are considered “enemies of the people” because they don’t want to do what everybody else is doing.  They’re individuals who would rather be right than popular, and those people are as scarce today as hen’s teeth.  They’re the only ones that have common sense, and that’s because they get their hands in the soil and they grow common sense under their fingernails.  They go totally against human nature, and once you do that, people begin to resent you.  Why?  Because you cause them to confront themselves with their folly, and nobody likes to be thought a fool or called a fool.  That’s why misery loves company.

I have often noted in reading the history of the Jewish people that there were prophets who pointed out how the people should live, and these prophets were extremely unpopular, in spite of all the history available about the Jewish people in the Good Book.  Every time the Israelites lived according to statutes instituted by their God, they were prosperous… exceedingly prosperous.  And every time they strayed, they had to deal with all kinds of misery… disease, enemy attacks and being taken captive to foreign lands.

According to that history, people should have caught on.  Why didn’t they?  It’s because doing what is right is not a natural thing for a human being.  By nature, a human is self-destructive, and the tragic part of it is that when he behaves that way, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will have to suffer.  That has not changed as of today.  We allowed these things to happen; it is a natural state of affairs.  And as long as we allow these things to happen, nothing will change for the better.

Fighting evil, and even criticizing evil, has never solved the problem.  What is the answer (and now you know what the meaning of the word “is” is) is to be proactively engaged in doing what is right, not in our sight, but in the eyes of the Eternal Power.  In other words, if we play the game by the rules, there are great rewards… so great, that we have no choice but to share them.  Depart from the rules, and you have a harvest of grief and misery… and eventual destruction.

We have an obligation to those who laid down their lives for our freedom, and we have the duty to guarantee a future of promise to our children’s children.  We have failed to do that as a nation.  We have allowed folly to rule over us, ignoring and rejecting the wisdom of our founders… and yet we’re still pretending that we are “One Nation Under God.”  That should be an affront to anyone who calls himself a Christian.  It is therefore more than apparent that those who claim to be Christians need to reassess their positions and rededicate themselves to the cause of their God.  When that occurs, this nation will turn, our problems will disappear and we’ll be harvesting the blessings of a most merciful God.   ~ Ed De Boer

Hello world!

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

Well, here I go a-blogging. Keep coming back to see what’s new. I can’t think of a better way to kick this off than to share a poem:

Those Little Organics

By Ed De Boer

What is all this clamor, and voices of discontent

About all the money that’s wastefully spent

By those who claim our leaders to be,

Who act like governing means a spending spree?

They pass legislation on “Cap and Trade,”

On greenhouse gases, a case not made.

Now it’s universal insurance on our health,

But in the meantime they are after our wealth.

The only insurance that works is prevention,

But that is the least of all their intention.

The threat to our health lies in our nutrition.

The most to be feared is corporate ambition.

The small organic producers are their great fear,

For they will destroy what the corporates hold dear.

Once the organics grow from few to a great many,

It’ll cost the corporates a mighty big penny.

They won’t be selling as much pesticide

Because those little organics are turning the tide.

There are other benefits the folks will derive,

The cost of illness care will take a nosedive.

To date, the cost is up to 18% of GDP,

Projected to rise to 20% by 2012 possibly.

Insurance has no bearing on this exorbitant cost.

All that effort and money will simply be lost.

Government, get out of bed with the corporations,

For you and they are the ruin of this nation!

Wanting Congress to outlaw the competition,

Since they can’t do it of their own volition.

I’ll throw in the unions, whatever they be.

For they, too, are causing nothing but misery.

It’s those little organics who make America bloom

Government, corporations and unions spell our doom,

So here’s to organics who repair and heal the soil.

All their efforts will be through ennobling toil,

So once again we will shout from the top of the roof,

“Come see, America, breathe the air, taste the proof.”

So finally they’ll learn the people rejoice

When righteous Authority, they make their choice.

All those who, in their zeal, are doing us in

Will finally be residing in history’s dustbin.
